Pork Nutrition Demonstration in London
Pork Nutrition Demonstration in London
On Wednesday, January 25, 2012 Andrea Villneff, Ontario Pork’s Nutritionist delivered a presentation at the Ontario Early Years Centre’s in London, Ontario. The delicious and nutritious double dinner pulled pork was prepared, to show new mom’s how to make easy meals that are delicious and nutritious. This recipe is just one of the latest recipes that have been developed for diabetic diets.
Eleven participants attended the presentation and participants were given a chance to ask questions and wanted to learn about the diabetes recipe booklet, the nutrition of pork, preparing meals using a slow cooker and food safety. The young mothers were interested to find out more about economical cuts of pork, and how to prepare healthy meals on a budget.
The fall/winter OEYC program is officially over, although our Nutritionist is currently working on developing a new cooking demonstration for the OEYC’s, focusing on economical cooking practices.
