2012 Taste of Elegance Judges

Chef Jack Riebel

Jack Riebel won the 2011 Minnesota Taste of Elegance and is currently preparing for the February opening of his new restaurant, Butcher & the Boar, at 1121 Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis. A St. Paul native, Riebel’s culinary experience includes six years as executive chef at the Dakota Jazz Club, Minneapolis, chef at La Belle Vie, Stillwater, and executive sous chef at Goodfellow’s, Minneapolis.

Chef Steven Shapely

Shapley is in his tenth year as an executive chef and instructor at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, Minneapolis/St. Paul. He earned his Master of Arts degree from St. Scholastica and his Bachelor of Arts from Ottawa University. His career experiences include executive chef at The Elms Resort and Spa near Kansas City, Mo., and corporate chef at KC Hopps Breweries, Kansas City, Mo.

Chef Ron Bohnert

Bohnert is beginning his twelfth year as executive chef at StoneRidge Golf Club, Stillwater. He has won multiple awards in culinary competitions including the Minnesota and National Taste of Elegance. The menu selection he plans for StoneRidge Golf Club feature locally sourced and naturally raised foods, earning the club a reputation for cuisine that rivals the finest Twin Cities restaurants
