TOPIGS Canada Inc. Hosts Customer Appreciation Night

TOPIGS Canada Inc. hosted customers from across Manitoba and South Dakota, USA. The annual customer appreciation and awards banquet had a record attendance, in excess of 150 people. Special guestswere federal veterinarians from Canada, Russia and China.

The evening program consists of dinner, a guest speaker and a production awards ceremony. Willem Steyn, Nutritionist
from TOPIGS International presented an overview on developing a successful feeding program. The highlight of the evening is the awards presentation for achieving various levels of production with TOPIGS genetics over a period of one year. This year’s data from participants included more than 45,000 sows from western Canada with herds averaging over 1,000 sows per farm. Top producing TOPIGS customer herds are now achieving more than 30 pigs weaned/sow/year, more than 14 pigs born alive/litter and weaning over 12 pigs/litter.
