Livestock producers can now monitor their animal’s health from their smartphone.
Merck’s newest technology uses artificial intelligence to help producers get the most up to date info for each animal, no matter the time of the day.
Just like how precision ag can optimize each acre of land, Merck says that this new technology will do the same for animal ag.
According to Merck’s Dr. Jason Nickell, “It ultimately provides another set of eyes that goes beyond what the human can provide, in a lot of cases, in order to bring more value to the production system.”
They also say that the technology can help cow-calf operations build a better breeding program. It lets farmers track the best time for insemination for their animals.
