We continue our series, in this episode we connect with a young up and comer in the Swine Industry.
Shelbi Perry grew up in Chalmers, Indiana where she raised and showed pigs with her parents and sister. It was the time she spent showing pigs that sparked her passion for the swine industry, which ultimately led her to pursue a degree at Purdue University in animal sciences. Following graduation, Shelbi accepted an internship with Merck Animal Health as a swine sales intern. She then decided to continue her academic career by pursuing a master’s degree with Dr. Safranski at the University of Missouri studying swine reproduction and heat stress. In the fall of 2020, she graduated with her masters and began her professional career at Merck Animal Health as a territory representative. She now resides in the Kansas City Metro.
