USMEF Welcomes RAPP Funding to Boost Market Diversification

The U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) applauds the recent announcement by Deputy U.S. Agriculture Secretary Xochitl Torres Small regarding the Notice of Funding Opportunity for the second tranche of the Regional Agricultural Promotion Program (RAPP). This initiative, leveraging Commodity Credit Corporation funds, is designed to expand export markets for U.S. agricultural products. USMEF President and CEO Dan Halstrom emphasized that the first tranche of RAPP funding is already making strides in identifying new global opportunities for U.S. pork, beef, and lamb. RAPP’s focus on market diversification is vital, complementing existing USDA programs and industry investments.
