Major Expansion Announced for Texas Meat Processing Facility

Wycliff Douglas Provisions (WDP), a fast-growing meat processing company, has announced a major expansion at its facility in Mesquite, Texas, following rapid business growth. Established in 2022, WDP has quickly made a name for itself in the meat processing industry, boasting a remarkable 105% year-over-year sales increase and a 200% expansion of its customer base, according to a company press release.

The USDA-inspected facility, which originally spanned 50,000 square feet, has added another 25,000 square feet to meet the increasing demand for its diverse product offerings. This new space is equipped with four additional smokers and a high-speed packaging line, enabling WDP to expand its capabilities in grinding, smoking, marinating, and packaging meat products.

The facility produces a variety of products, including smoked sausage, marinated chicken breast, and pre-smoked wings, catering to both retail and foodservice markets. As part of its expansion, WDP has also enhanced its freezer capacity, which will help reduce freight costs at a time when transportation expenses are on the rise.

This expansion not only supports the company’s current production needs but also positions WDP for continued growth as demand for high-quality, processed meats continues to climb.
