Additionally, stringent biosecurity measures successfully prevented a potential outbreak of Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea (PED), underscoring the industry’s commitment to safeguarding herd health.
Global Uncertainty Looms
Despite these successes, Dahl highlighted the need for strategic planning in response to looming global uncertainties. Political changes in both Canada and the U.S. could introduce new challenges, particularly with the possibility of protectionist policies under a new U.S. administration.
