“Things go right 90% of the time,” Chris says, “but it’s that 10%—the last-minute changes, rearranging drivers, and troubleshooting issues—that keeps us on our toes.” After 15 years in the role, he has become a critical force in ensuring the production system flows smoothly.
An Early Start to Keep Operations on Track
Chris is often the first to arrive at the office—starting his day at 5:30 a.m. to oversee key inner sanctum loads and coordinate hundreds of pig movements each week. With 30 to 40 drivers on the road daily, he has insight into multiple departments, working closely with transportation teams, farm managers, and logistics personnel to get every load to its destination safely and on time.
