The 48th annual Manitoba Ag Days concluded last week at Brandon’s Keystone Centre, leaving a positive mark on attendees and exhibitors alike. Held over three days, the event attracted farmers, industry professionals, and exhibitors from across Canada, the United States, and even as far away as Europe and Australia.
A Reflection of Optimism in Agriculture
Kristen Phillips, General Manager of Manitoba Ag Days, highlighted the upbeat atmosphere, which she believes reflects the optimism among farmers heading into the 2025 growing season.
“As a farmer myself, I thought the mood might be subdued given the market and economic conditions,” Phillips shared. “But the response was incredibly positive. Farmers are optimistic—the weather outlook is good, and decent moisture levels from last year have put confidence into getting seeds in the ground.”
She added, “Ag Days is where the ag year begins, and it’s always exciting to see the enthusiasm and energy from the crowd.”
A Showcase of Global Agriculture
This year’s Manitoba Ag Days featured visitors from British Columbia to Ontario, North and South Dakota, and exhibitors and speakers from regions as far-reaching as Prince Edward Island, Quebec, France, Germany, and Australia. With 67 speakers, the event delivered insights across a wide range of topics important to farmers and industry professionals.
For those unable to attend, Phillips noted that speaker recordings will be available on the Manitoba Ag Days YouTube and TikTok channels starting February 1.
Looking Ahead to 2026
Plans are already underway for the 49th edition of Manitoba Ag Days, scheduled for January 20, 21, and 22, 2026. The event continues to set the tone for the agriculture year, showcasing innovations, optimism, and the resilience of the farming community.
