After ten years of dedicated service, Jessica Rosener is retiring from Iowa Select Farms, leaving behind a legacy of leadership, compassion, and a profound commitment to animal care and team development.
“Jessica is a true representation of our culture at Iowa Select Farms,” said Cassandra Jass, DVM, Director of Biosecurity and Production Well-Being Compliance. “She is kind, hardworking, selfless, and always goes above and beyond to ensure the best care for the animals and employees.”
A Legacy of Leadership
Over the past decade, Jessica has played an integral role on the Production Well-Being team, embodying the motto, “If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right.” Her passion for teaching and improving farm operations has left a lasting impact, as she worked tirelessly with farm managers, supervisors, and caretakers across southern Iowa.
“Jessica is a great leader who was exceptional at development and training on the farms,” said Jeff DeWeese, Production Well-Being Specialist.
Jessica’s contributions included conducting biosecurity and animal well-being assessments, driving animal care efforts, and fostering relationships with farm teams. As one of the first people new employees met during orientation, Jessica welcomed countless individuals into their careers at Iowa Select Farms.
“Jessica will be hard to replace,” added Kailey Einspahr, Production Well-Being Specialist. “She had a great balance of honesty, compassion, and the best interest in mind.”
A New Chapter Begins
While Jessica’s energy, passion, and dedication will be missed, she is looking forward to enjoying retirement. Her plans include hiking with her dog Ernie, gardening, tending to her flock of chickens, and spending quality time with her family.
