Smithfield Foods, a leading processor, has announced the appointment of two key executives to its leadership team. Brendan Smith has been named Chief Marketing Officer, while Allyson Bouldon takes on the role of Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer.
In his new position, Brendan Smith will spearhead Smithfield’s marketing team, overseeing the planning, development, and execution of marketing, advertising, innovation, and strategic planning initiatives. His responsibilities extend across the company’s brands in the retail, deli, and food service channels. Smith brings a wealth of marketing experience from senior leadership roles in international food and beverage companies, with his most recent position being Chief Marketing Officer for New Realm Brewing and Distilling. He will report to Steve France, President of Packaged Meats at Smithfield.
Allyson Bouldon, the newly appointed Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer, will lead and manage Smithfield’s ethics and compliance program. Reporting to Michael Flemming, Chief Legal Officer at Smithfield, Bouldon brings her expertise from her previous role as Managing Counsel for Wolters Kluwer, where she supported compliance programs for its North America businesses. She also served as the Acting Chief Compliance Officer for Bright Machines, Inc.
