
Vita Plus has announced the addition of Dr. Chloe Hagen as a swine nutritionist and technical salesperson, supporting producers in Illinois and Wisconsin. In her new role, Dr. Hagen will help swine operations develop practical nutrition and management strategies to enhance herd performance and achieve production goals. She will also provide technical leadership to the Vita Plus swine team.
Dr. Hagen brings a strong academic background to her position. She earned her bachelor’s degree in animal science from Iowa State University, where she later completed both her master’s and Ph.D. in swine nutrition. Her doctoral research focused on dietary fiber’s impact on sow and piglet performance, as well as the effects of mycotoxin-contaminated feed on nursery pig growth and health.
Her expertise in nutrition, feed formulation, and swine health positions her well to assist producers in optimizing feed programs, improving efficiency, and addressing emerging nutritional challenges.
