NASDA Welcomes Logan Moss as Associate Director of Public Policy

The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) has announced the hiring of Logan Moss as Associate Director of Public Policy. In this role, Moss will oversee NASDA’s Animal Agriculture and Natural Resources and Environment Policy Committees, bringing his expertise to key agricultural policy discussions.

Moss expressed his enthusiasm for the position, emphasizing the importance of strong agricultural representation in Washington, D.C., and the need for sound, collaborative policymaking. He highlighted his background in agriculture as giving him a unique perspective on the challenges producers face and the role of effective policy in supporting the industry. He looks forward to working with state agriculture departments to ensure agriculture remains a cornerstone of the economy.

A graduate of the University of Arkansas with a master’s degree in agricultural economics, Moss most recently worked as an Extension Associate at Kansas State University under the Flinchbaugh Chair in Agricultural Policy. His extensive experience in agriculture and passion for the industry make him a valuable addition to NASDA’s policy team.

Moss officially begins his role on March 17, 2025, where he will work alongside NASDA leadership to advocate for policies that enhance the sustainability and success of American agriculture. His appointment is expected to strengthen NASDA’s commitment to addressing key issues impacting animal agriculture and natural resource management, both of which are crucial to livestock producers across the country.

With this new addition, NASDA continues to play a vital role in shaping agricultural policy and supporting producers, ensuring their voices are heard at both the state and federal levels.
