Dr. Jessica Risser has been with Elanco Animal Health for 5 years within the Swine Technical Team, prior to that for 10 years as veterinarian for an integrated swine production system. Throughout her career, Jessica has participated in various AASV and swine industry task forces, committees, and councils regarding swine production, animal welfare, and antibiotic use. Jessica received a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Biochemistry from West Virginia University, a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University, and completed the Executive Veterinary Program for Swine Veterinarians at the University of Illinois. Jessica resides in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania with her husband and their two sons. As a family they stay busy, spending time outdoors, and watching various college and professional teams play basketball, football and baseball.
