An upstart Canadian company is bringing Biosecurity to the forefront with the opening of a Biosecurity center of excellence in Blyth Ontario. Mark Beaven the founder joins us to share his vision was to develop a comprehensive biosecurity company that provided not just certain products but a whole host of solutions designed to improve the biosecurity at agricultural operations across Canada. Utilizing his experience and knowledge he built the foundation of a product line that provide the best possible protection when it comes to infection control in agriculture.

Mark Beaven has been in the agricultural biosecurity space for close to three decades. Starting out with Egg Farmers of Ontario, as the Director of Operations, Mark oversaw the development and implementation of the On Farm Food Safety, Samonella Control and Emergency Response Programs. In 2008, Mark moved to the national scene as the Executive Director of the Canadian Animal Health Coalition. It was in this role that saw him serve on various committees such as the Canadian Veterinary Reserve Advisory Board, Co-Chair the development of the National Biosecurity Standard for the Transport of Livestock, Poultry and Deadstock, and represent the Food Sector on the National Critical Infrastructure Committee.
In 2013, after learning about Accelerated Hydrogen Peroxide, Mark introduced the revolutionary technology to the agricultural sector. As Founder and current President of EthoGuard Inc., he continues to spread the word about Prevail Disinfectant as well as other technologies, products and services to the Canadian Agricultural Sector, all geared towards helping farmers improve their biosecurity.
When not assisting the ag sector, Mark along with his wife Janice enjoy relaxing up in Northern Ontario on the French River or spending their time travelling. They along with their 6 grown children are passionate about the outdoors, sports, and the environment.
