In Swine Versation: Sustainability with Erica Lain from Iowa Select Farms

Join me as I check in with Erica Lain, Sustainability Manager at Iowa Select Farms.

About out guest:

Erica Lain grew up on a cow-calf and row crop operation in eastern Iowa. She grew a passion for the pork industry when she attended Iowa State University studying animal science. This year, she will celebrate her five-year anniversary with Iowa Select Farms. Before her role as the Sustainability Manager, Erica was a Gilt Selector, Multiplication Supervisor and Environmental Services Manager in our southern Iowa region. Erica leads all of Iowa Select Farms’ sustainability efforts.

She currently serves on the National Pork Board’s (NPB) Sustainability Task Force, Iowa Select Farms PeopleCare Council, is an Iowa Select Farms Ambassador and participates in People Leadership Program-Track 2.

She met her husband, Kenton, at Iowa State University. They currently live outside Corydon, Iowa, where they farm row crops, commercial beef cattle and run a show cattle operation. They are excited to raise their one year old son, Jensen, the same way they were raised.
