E.W. Grobbel Sons Acquires Freirich Foods, Expands Processed Meat Operations

Processed meat company E.W. Grobbel Sons, Inc. announced its acquisition of the assets of Freirich Foods, a prominent deli meats producer that filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this year.

“This acquisition marks an exciting new chapter for both of our organizations,” stated Jason Grobbel, President of E.W. Grobbel Sons. “We are honored to carry forward the legacy of Freirich and look forward to continuing to provide the same exceptional products and service that customers have relied on for generations.”

As part of the acquisition, Freirich’s production operations will transition to Detroit, Michigan. Despite this relocation, the company assured customers that its recipes, ingredient standards, and products will remain consistent. Freirich Foods’ CEO, Paul Bardinas, will stay with the company during the transition and continue to play an integral role beyond this period.

This move is set to bolster E.W. Grobbel Sons’ footprint in the processed meat sector, ensuring the preservation of Freirich’s legacy while driving innovation and growth under new leadership.
