Pork producers can now make a difference through product purchases that fund scholarships for military and first responder families.
Zoetis has announced the expansion of its Patriots’ Pledge initiative, offering pork producers a unique opportunity to give back while investing in the health and welfare of their animals. Beginning in 2025, proceeds from the sales of select Zoetis pork products will be donated to Folds of Honor, a nonprofit organization providing academic scholarships to the families of fallen or disabled U.S. Armed Forces members and first responders.
The Patriots’ Pledge program will run annually from Memorial Day through Veterans Day and has already made a significant impact since its inception. Zoetis has contributed over $2 million to Folds of Honor through its cattle business since 2022. This year, the program has expanded to include the pork and poultry markets, providing even greater opportunities for producers to make a difference.
“Zoetis is honored to support Folds of Honor and the life-changing work they do to help the families of those who protect our communities and freedoms,” said Kristin Kasselman, Senior Vice President of U.S. Livestock Business for Zoetis. “By including pork producers in Patriots’ Pledge, we’re expanding our impact and allowing more customers to join us in this important mission.”
As part of this initiative, Zoetis will donate a portion of sales from key pork health products, including:
- Fostera® PCV MH
- Draxxin® (tulathromycin injection) Injectable Solution
These products, already trusted by pork producers for their proven effectiveness, now offer the added benefit of supporting scholarships for the families of heroes who have sacrificed so much.
“These scholarships offer life-changing opportunities for families,” said Brandon Marshall, head of sales and technical service for Zoetis poultry. “For our pork and poultry customers, it’s a chance to give back while doing what they do best—producing safe, quality food.”
By aligning animal health products with a greater purpose, Zoetis continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting agriculture and communities across the country.
For pork producers, participating in the Patriots’ Pledge program is as simple as purchasing the eligible products between Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Through this initiative, producers can play an active role in giving back to those who serve and protect.
